This is one of the new features in Sage Enterprise Management V11 in manufacturing Process, where you can keep work centers machines running and record its time even if labor is on break.
Work center is a resource unit where manufacturing activities are performed. In other words, Work Centers are the master data which represent real machines, Production Lines, Assembly, labor’s, etc. Manufacturing activity or Operations are carried out at Work Center.
Let us go through one of the business scenarios wherein the below-mentioned functionality will be very handy.
Scenario: In a milk processing industry, the whole process of packaging is a continuous process wherein manual intervention is not required. So by allowing a system to track the total run-time of machines even though when labor or machine operator is on break, one can easily load the actual cost based on total run-time.
Navigate: Manufacturing → Technical data → Work Centers
- Need to check Run during employee break as shown in below figure.
Note: This function is enabled only if the work center type is selected as Machine.
