Standard fields can be easily added to the selector\/lookup control through screens, but custom fields will not be displayed on the selector control by following the same process. We must perform some additional steps to make it visible on the selector and the below steps will help in achieving the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this blog, we will consider a Vendor Classes screen where the custom field \u201cTransaction Date\u201d is already added, and we have to make it available on the Vendor selector when used from the Vendors screen. The attributes feature is available from Acumatica 2020R1.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/01-Custom-field-added-on-Vendor-Class-screen-9.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" title=\"Custom-field-added-on-Vendor-Class\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/01-Custom-field-added-on-Vendor-Class-screen-9.png\" alt=\"Custom-field-added-on-Vendor-Class\" width=\"432\" height=\"372\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">We have already seen the steps to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/2022\/06\/09\/add-standard-field-to-the-selector-lookup-of-acumatica\/\">add a field to the selector\/lookup of Acumatica<\/a> in our previous blog. Once done, we will have a lot added in DAC as shown below with its default attributes<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/02-Default-attribute-of-customized-field-2.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" title=\"04 Customized field on selector control\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/02-Default-attribute-of-customized-field-2.png\" alt=\"04 Customized field on selector control\" width=\"899\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Modify the attributes of the field<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To make the customized field visible on the selector control, change the attribute by adding the visibility properties to PXUIField.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>[PXUIField (DisplayName=\u201d Transac date\u201d, Visibility=PXUIVisibility.SelectorVisible<\/em>)]<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/03-Modified-attribute-of-customized-field.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" title=\"03 Modified attribute of customized field\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/03-Modified-attribute-of-customized-field.png\" alt=\"03 Modified attribute of customized field\" width=\"1004\" height=\"262\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">Once the attribute is modified; Save and publish the customization project. As we can see from the below screenshot, the \u201c<em>Transac date\u201d<\/em> field is added up on the selector control of the vendor class field on the Vendor screen.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04-Customized-field-on-selector-control.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px; align: center;\" title=\"04 Customized field on selector control\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/acumatica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/08\/04-Customized-field-on-selector-control.png\" alt=\"04 Customized field on selector control\" width=\"841\" height=\"498\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\">So, the provision of adding the customized field in the selector makes it very helpful to view\/sort the data based on day-to-day business processes.
