In Sage 300<\/a> if you are passing multicurrency transaction in your books of accounts, due to fluctuation of exchange rates of source currency you would be required to re-evaluate your general ledger.<\/p>\n

The difference between current fluctuations may be exchange gain or loss. Following are tips to configure your exchange gain\/loss of your general ledger accounts.<\/p>\n

New Stuff:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Schedule VI Reporting in Sage 300<\/a><\/p>\n

1) \u00a0Define Exchange gain or loss account.
\nGeneral Ledger >> GL Setup >> Revaluation code.

Sage 300<\/a>\u00a0provides you with the facility to configure unrealized exchange gain\/loss account in which is Debit\/credit in revaluation process.<\/p>\n

2) \u00a0Configuration of Revaluation code to general leger.
\nGeneral Ledger >> G\/L Accounts >> Accounts
\nAfter clicking on multicurrency switch you will get one tab called Currency.
\nYou would require to configure created Revaluation code to general ledger account which you want to reevaluate.<\/p>\n

3) \u00a0Auto Generation of Revaluation Journal entry.
\nGeneral Ledger >> G\/L Periodic processing >> Create Revaluation Batch.<\/p>\n

Following are the steps requires to follow for revaluation.<\/p>\n

1. Enter Description of Revaluation batch.
\n2. Select currency which you wants to revaluate
\n3. Select Account range which you wants to reevaluate or specific account.
\n4. Select Revaluation code.
\n5. Select Fiscal year and period.
\n6. Enter Entry date on which you want to post the revaluation batch.
\n7. Enter exchange rate for revaluation.
\n8.\u00a0Click on process Button.
\nAfter clicked on process button system will create Journal entry in General ledger module.<\/p>\n
