While trying to login to your Sage 300 ERP application or accessing any Sage 300 Company, users may encounter an error such as<\/p>\n

\u201cCannot access database (error=49153). See Help for more information\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Why this error in Sage 300? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever Sage 300 application fails to connect the database, error 49153 is displayed. This means that Sage 300 application has launched, however, when Sage 300 is unable to establish a connection with database. When the user reports this error to the System Administrator, the system admin team checks if the user is able to access the SQL Database.<\/p>\n

Resolution of Error 49153<\/strong><\/span>
To resolve the above error in Sage 300, one need to follow the below mentioned simple steps:<\/p>\n

  1. In Run command, type \u201cServices.msc\u201d and click on \u201cOK\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Search for SQL Server (SQL Express). If the status indicates \u201cNot Started\u201d, then manually right click and click on \u201cStart\u201c, to start the process.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          We could also start, stop, pause or restart SQL service through another method.<\/p>\n

          Step 1:<\/strong> Click on windows and search for SQL server manager.<\/p>\n\n\n
