Sage 300<\/a> provides you with the provision of creating duplicate copy of Manufacturing BOM (Bill of Materials) in single click. In this blog you will know how to create the duplicate copy of BOM in details but before that we will know the exact definition on BOM from manufacturing point of view.<\/p>\n

What is BOM (Bill of Materials)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bill of Materials contains list of all parts, components including operations, resources, tools etc. to build a product. The BOM is basically defines for Finish Goods or Sami finish Goods. In that we can define for Item A<\/strong> (Finish Goods) what are the components (Raw Materials<\/strong>) required like RM1, RM2. Going further, the Operations<\/strong> required to produce Item A like Painting, Cutting etc. can also be defined in the Resources<\/strong> required for this. So whenever the user opens the BOM for any particular item then he will know the exact required entities for producing that item.<\/p>\n

In the BOM screen every item contains the multiple BOM Numbers and each BOM having multiple Revision numbers so the multiple BOM Should be saved with new Revision but how can we copy same BOM with different Revision?<\/strong><\/p>\n

To incorporate this feature we have customize the existing BOM screen & simply add one new button called \u201cRevised BOM\u201d. (Refer the below screen shot)<\/p>\n

\nNew Stuff:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Migrate AR Credit Notes (summary) from Sage Business Vision to Sage 300 ERP<\/a>
\n\"blog1\"<\/a>Once user will clicked on Revised BOM then new BOM will get created with new Revision number.
\nE.g. suppose User XYZ create new BOM with Revision 1.0 and BOM number 56200 with A,B,C,D different component with item 64.11.1917.05 now user keep BOM status Approved. Incase if user require to do some changes in same BOM then as per Revised BOM button functionality user will click on Revised BOM then Same BOM should be generated with Revision no 1.02.<\/p>\n
