\nIn this blog, we would discuss the User-defined options to convert Item masters into Sage 300 ERP. We convert masters by using below-mentioned methods from Sage 50 US (Peachtree), QuickBooks. In this blog, we have taken the example of Sage 50 ERP.
\n\u00a0New Stuff:<\/strong><\/em>
\nIn continuation of our previous blog here, we would discuss another method for Item Number Generation referred as \u2018User defined Mapping\u2019. While performing migration process, we receive different requirement from clients to assign the specific numbering to Item masters into in Sage 300 Company.
\nSo in order to incorporate the custom numbering for Customers, we do send the template Item number mapping sheet to our client before proceeding with the migration process. The format of the sheet is as below which contains the columns \u2013 Sage 50 Item Number, Sage 50 Item Name, Sage 300 ERP Item Code and Sage 300 ERP Item Name. We expect the filled sheet from client wherein he needs to fill their desired Item masters code and their names as they want to get converted into Sage 300 ERP against the existing Sage 50 Item details.
\nNote:<\/strong> As per the Sage 300 standard functionality it would allow entering only up to 12 characters for Item code.
\nOnce we receive the filled sheet from the client, we process them accordingly into migration and client\u2019s desired Item number gets assigned\/created into Sage 300 and same gets assigned to their respective transactions.
\nIn this way, Sage 50 Item masters are migrated to target Sage 300 ERP company database.
