Sage 300 ERP 2018 is available now.\u00a0With the release of Sage 300 ERP 2018, we are pleased to announce the release of our \u201cCreate POs from OE with Copy Comments and Optional Fields\u201d customization in Sage 300 v2018.<\/p>\n

This customization is an enhancement in a standard \u201cCreate Pos from OE\u201d functionality which provides additional feature to copy the comments and optional field\u2019s values from the OE order to newly generated PO Purchase Order. \nBasic working of Create Pos from OE with Copy Comments and optional field values<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

    The standard screen for \u201cCreate PO from OE\u201d screen is customized and added an extra frame for additional options provided at the bottom of the screen along with \u201cSetup Optional Fields\u201d button on the screen.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Using \u201cSetup Optional Fields\u201d button a user can set the required optional filed to process this customization i.e. \u201cPOFROMOE\u201d \u201cYes\/No\u201d optional field will be generated and the same optional field will be assigned to the Purchase Order with Auto-Insert as \u201cYes\u201d<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    With the help of \u201cProcess\u201d button customization copies the values for the selected options present in the \u201cCopy to P\/O\u201d frame along with the comments and optional field\u2019s values for a header as all details as per selection.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    Finally, after generating PO and updating values in PO, the optional field \u201cPOFROMOE\u201d value will be set to \u201cYES\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note<\/u> :<\/strong><\/p>\n

    As mentioned in the earlier blog, it has some technical restrictions regarding copying\/editing the values in the generated P\/O\u2019s from O\/E. This customization does not work for consolidate Items and Items with Insufficient Quantities due to insufficient mapping in the Sage 300 standard process views.<\/p>\n
