{"id":19563,"date":"2018-06-19T10:29:16","date_gmt":"2018-06-19T10:29:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/?p=19563"},"modified":"2024-04-25T04:41:49","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T04:41:49","slug":"update-order-uom-as-the-pricing-uom-on-order-entry-screen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2018\/06\/19\/update-order-uom-as-the-pricing-uom-on-order-entry-screen\/","title":{"rendered":"Update Order UOM as the pricing UOM on Order Entry screen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We use the O\/E Order Entry screen to enter, edit, and post transactions, print documents, enter prepayments, and perform other key Order Entry tasks.<br \/>\nOn the O\/E Order Entry screen, you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter, edit, and post quotes and orders, including active, standing, and future orders.<\/li>\n<li>Enter prepayments for orders.<\/li>\n<li>Enter quantities shipped, and create an invoice for shipped quantities.<\/li>\n<li>Print quotes, order confirmations, receipts (for prepayments), and invoices (if created for shipped quantities) immediately after posting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Before proceed further let\u2019s go through Pricing UOM &amp; Order UOM.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>New Stuff:-\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2018\/06\/19\/menu-bar-in-sage-300-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Menu Bar in Sage 300 2018<\/a><\/p>\n<p>User can use the I\/C Units of Measure screen to add the units of measure (UOMs) in which you buy, sell, price, and stock your inventory items.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sagesoftware.co.in\/product-sage-300-erp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Inventory Control<\/a> lets you define all of your units of measure in a single place so you can add them more easily to item records.<\/p>\n<p>Units of measure can be numbers of items, dry measures, liquid measures, or weights. You can add all of your stocking units and multiples of stocking units to the Units of Measure screen, and then choose the group of units you need for each item you add.<\/p>\n<p>You can choose in the I\/C Options screen whether to allow only the units of measure that you define here in inventory records. If you do not choose \u2018Only Use Defined UOM\u2019, you can use other units of measure with items<br \/>\nWe have a requirement\u00a0for\u00a0one of the client, need to fetch default the Order UOM as the pricing UOM<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Following is the path of the default screen of OE order Entry screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To navigate, go to Order Entry &#8211;&gt;OE Transactions &#8211;&gt;Order Entry.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1-4.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19564\" title=\"Order Entry\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/1-4.png\" alt=\"Order Entry\" width=\"682\" height=\"491\" \/><\/a>Let\u2019s take an example to understand this in details.
