{"id":19782,"date":"2018-07-21T04:59:38","date_gmt":"2018-07-21T04:59:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/?p=19782"},"modified":"2024-04-25T05:38:45","modified_gmt":"2024-04-25T05:38:45","slug":"new-features-introduce-in-sage-300-from-v2014","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2018\/07\/21\/new-features-introduce-in-sage-300-from-v2014\/","title":{"rendered":"New features introduce in Sage 300 from v2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A General Ledger batch is a group of journal entries, each of which contains at least two transaction details, one for the debit amount and one for the credit amount.<br \/>\nJournal entries do not affect G\/L account balances until you post the batches.<br \/>\nWhile entering General Ledger, you can also:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create new batches.<\/li>\n<li>Add journal entries to existing batches.<\/li>\n<li>Change and delete journal entries.<\/li>\n<li>View and reverse posted entries.<\/li>\n<li>Add <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2016\/04\/28\/intercompany-transaction\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">intercompany transactions<\/a> if this is an ICT (Intercompany Transactions) database.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you can see on General Ledger screen there are various fields to enter details like Entry number, Date, Entry Number, Batch, Description, Year\/Period etc<\/p>\n<p>Today in this blog we will discuss about posting date for the journal entry which is not present on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sagesoftware.co.in\/blogs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sage<\/a> Version 6.0 and lower version but with the higher version and upgradation, some features has been added on the General Ledger screen.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Refer below the screen with new features Posting Date<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/pc1-2.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-19785\" title=\"Journal Entry\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/pc1-2.png\" alt=\"Journal Entry\" width=\"679\" height=\"431\" \/><\/a>Specify the posting date for the journal entry. The complete journal entry can have a single date associated with it, or you can enter a different date on each detail line.<\/p>\n<p>The posting date does not determine the period to which the details will be posted. It is for information only. (The period is set by the Year\/Period field.)<\/p>\n<p>When you specify a posting date, the corresponding year\/period is entered automatically in the Year\/Period field.
