We all are aware about standard Sage 300 Import feature, in this blog we are going to discuss about our custom import routine which can be run from windows Task Scheduler and import multiple transactions.<\/p>\n

New Stuff:<\/strong> <\/em>DEFAULT LANGUAGE NOT SPECIFIED Error in Sage 300 Workstation<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Recently we had a chance to introduce this interesting feature for one of our clients. The client deals with huge level of inventory incoming against their purchase orders and wanted to save the time which they were spending in entering the PO Receipt in Sage 300.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have created a custom utility which will suit the needs of the customer and will save their precious time from being creating an entries in Sage 300. Please refer below the simple User Interface that we have created for the manual importing of the PO Receipt entries and also the utility is created in way so that it can be run in a windows unattended mode (Task Scheduler) as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Import\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The folder structure for this utility is maintained in a way so that each of the thing will go in a smooth way. The folder structure and other details are needs to be entered in a configuration file which would be one time setting for the utility to work. Please refer the below screen shot of the configuration file.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"Information\"<\/a>The executable file then needs to be added to the task scheduler like below.<\/span>
\n\"Receipt\"<\/a>
\n\"Action\"<\/a>Now here user needs to schedule the utility according to their convenient timing.<\/span>
\n\"Trigger\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now when the utility will execute, the appropriate folders ( Success, Error, Import, Archive and Failure) will automatically get created into the pre specified path and user needs to input their importable file into the correct folder and the utility itself will capture the file that has been available into the folder and on successful import of the file it will moved to the archive folder or else it will moved to the Import Failure folder and the reason of the errors would get printed into the error log folder.<\/span><\/p>\n
