This functionality is available in Sage 300 ERP (formerly known as Sage Accpac ERP) in General Ledger Module \/GL Transaction\/Journal Entry.<br \/>\nThe prime example of such cases is the Salary Journal Entry which user enters every month end for making salary provisions which they reverse immediate in the next month.<br \/>\nIn Journal Entry users will find an \u201cAuto Reverse\u201d check-box, wherein checking this check-box, will provide with a drop down list adjacent to it with 2 options detailed below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>1.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Next period<\/strong> &#8211; If you select this option, G\/L Journal Entry will get reversed in the immediate next period set.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/1.-GL-Journal-Entry.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2378\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/1.-GL-Journal-Entry.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"659\" height=\"423\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left; padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>2.<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Specific period<\/strong> &#8211; When users select \u201cSpecific period\u201d option, they will get a drop down where they can select a period in which they want the entry to be reversed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/2.-GL-Journal-Entry.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-2379\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/01\/2.-GL-Journal-Entry.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"657\" height=\"424\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Note:<\/strong> System will not create any physical entry in the system, but its effect will be replicated in all the required reports and in the Account Inquiry Screen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Many a times Sage 300 User comes across a situation, where they want to reverse an entry in GL at particular period.
