We have seen earlier that Sage 300 ERP 2019 has introduced new feature called Global Search for its Desktop version. Same feature is available in the web screens of v2019.<\/p>\n

New Stuff:\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>Global Search feature in Sage 300 ERP 2019 Desktop<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cGlobal Search\u201d option is available just before the \u201cHelp\u201d option displayed as the magnifying glass icon with Search text beneath it.<\/p>\n

Click on \u201cSearch\u201d icon to open the screen.<\/p>\n

\"Search\"<\/p>\n

We have seen \u201cRefine Search By\u201d section in the Desktop version. In web screen, it is replaced with the Gear icon attached to the left of the search box. Refining options can be selected by just placing (hover) the cursor on the icon. Required selection needs to be done before searching. By default All options is selected.<\/p>\n

\"Search\"<\/p>\n

For Example, we have selected the \u201cOrder Entry\u201d Transaction as our search area and searching for content \u201c1200\u201d.<\/p>\n

Click on the magnifying glass icon to begin the search operation.<\/p>\n

Search results will be displayed just below the search box i.e. below the header of the screen. Results are same as that of Desktop with drill down functionality.<\/p>\n

\"Order<\/p>\n

Lets consider another example, where we have changed the \u201cRefine Search By\u201d selections but searching for the same content. User can select as many options required from the list of check boxes available.<\/p>\n

\"Global<\/p>\n

In the above example we have only results from \u201cOrder Entry\u201d Transaction but in below example we have results from Customers, Accounts and Vendors as per our selection.<\/p>\n

\"Global<\/p>\n

So, when user have some information about the transactions or have some kind of data available in Sage 300, Global Search proves to be very helpful to find the presence of the same and perform the further operations on the search result using the drill down feature to open the screen.<\/p>\n
