Few industries need creation on multiple items that use same set of information, this need to be done because there is slight variation in inventory that one needs to record and report separately. Few examples are (Apparel\/footwear\/Electronics \/Furniture industries etc..). Though we have a GreymatriX<\/a> (Apparel Integration for Sage Accpac ERP) Add-on as a solution to this but this is something that we had done for a client who deals in Furniture.<\/p>\n

Our client wanted to have a quick and easy way of creating multiple items by Copying one existing Item. The creation of new item should not only be limited to just copying Item Master Details but it should also copy the Item Pricing, Location details, Unit of Measure, Tax Setup, Account set, Category, Structure code for the Newly created items.<\/p>\n

To take care of above functionality we provided a screen [refer below screen shot], on the top we allowed user to select existing Item and in the grid we allowed user to enter New Item codes their Descriptions and vendor details.<\/p>\n

Once the list is complete user must click on Create button and in the background, our program shall create all new Items in Sage Accpac ERP and copy all the details specified above for each item.<\/div>\n
