This security will allow to restrict the access of particular GL account to Sage 300 users. It helps to maintain the confidentiality of GL Accounts i.e. bank Account, Payroll account etc. and it will also minimize the risk of unauthorized activity.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>New Stuff:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<a title=\"Permalink to Barcode integration with I\/C Transfer Screen in Sage300\" I\/C Transfer Screen in Sage300<\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To Activate GL Account security first go to General Ledger \u00e0 GL Setup &#8211;&gt;Options.<\/li>\n<li>Open GL Option screen.<\/li>\n<li>Go to Account Tab.<\/li>\n<li>Tick Check box naming as \u201cUse G\/L security\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Once user check this option one field will get display on screen as \u201c Default Access\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Select All Account from dropdown list.<\/li>\n<li>Save record.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a screen and enter or select the User ID to whom you want to restrict the particular GL accounts.The permissions per user can be set by segment or by account.\u00a0\u00a0If the default in GL Options is set to \u2018All Accounts\u2019, enter accounts or segments that the user should not be allowed to access.\u00a0\u00a0If the default is set to \u2018No Accounts\u2019, enter accounts or segments that justify;\">Here we restricted Account number 1000-1021 for the user \u201cSales\u201d. Once these new permissions have been saved, the user will not able to see the affected GL accounts at all in any screen, including finders.\u00a0\u00a0If they manually type in a GL account number that they do not have permissions for, an error message will be displayed\u00a0as \u201cYou are not allowed to retrieve Account\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Login sage through restricted user i.e. here we are login sage 300 using \u201cSales\u201d user and open any screen and select the restricted GL account.
