In Sage 300 ERP, Security Groups plays important role in protecting your data, where Organizations can restrict and grant the access to take the backup of the database using the Sage 300 data dump utility. This is what we are going to discuss in this blog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please follow the steps below to restrict other users from using Sage 300 Database Sump Utility: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

1- Navigate to the Administrative Service –> Security Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Select Administrative Services and select the Group Id and uncheck the Database Dump checkbox to restrict the non-admin user to take the backup of the database. Then save the data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2- Log in to the Sage 300 data dump utility with non-admin user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3- Below standard error message will be thrown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This way Organization can restrict and grant the access to take the backup of the database using the Sage 300 data dump utility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
