These procedures are based on certain rules and the types of project and contract norms. In this blog we are going to discuss about one of the option provided in Sage 300 by using which organization will be able to get the cost detailing for the projects within contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> <strong>New Stuff:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Navigation\nfor the setting:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\ncan navigate to the \u2018Contract Maintenance\u2019 screen as Project and\nJob Costing\uf0e0\nPJC Transactions \uf0e0\nContact Maintenance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\ncan find the option for setting Project Style on the contract\nmaintenance screen while adding new Project to the contract:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1_ProjectStyle_Navigate.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/1_ProjectStyle_Navigate.jpg\" alt=\"ProjectStyle_navigate\" title=\"ProjectStyle_navigate\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As\nyou can see in the screenshot above there are two options provided\nfor specifying \u2018Project Style\u2019 in the Contract one is \u2018Standard\u2019\nand the other is \u2018Basic\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Project style \u2018Standard\u2019 can be opted if the detailed cost calculation need to be tracked, based on the categories under the project and resources assigned for the categories. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Project style \u2018Basic\u2019 can be set if the cost calculation is required up to categories level only and further utilization of resources under those categories does not have effect on cost. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Notes:\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u2018Standard\u2019\n\tis the default project style.\n\t<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>User\n\tcan change the project style for particular project, while adding\n\tnew project to contract or can modify the same before adding\n\tcategories under that particular Project.\n\t<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Based\n\ton the \u2018Project Style\u2019 set for the Project in the contract,\n\twhile entering job related transactions or PJC costs transactions\n\tresources are validated. i.e. if the project style is \u2018Standard\u2019\n\tthen to keep the track of resource wise cost, it is mandatory to\n\thave resources from masters to be specified where as if the project\n\tstyle is \u2018Basic\u2019 the resources under categories specified will\n\tnot be validated as the costing is detailed till categories level\n\tonly.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: Medium;\"><strong>About Us<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Greytrix<\/a>&nbsp;&#8211; a globally recognized and one of the\noldest Sage Gold Development Partner is a one-stop solution provider for Sage\nERP and Sage CRM organizational needs.
