Sage 300 has introduced a feature called Global Search with its latest release of Sage 300 ERP 2019. This feature helps the user to quickly search for the data (transactions) from the company database.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While trying to open the \u2018Global Search\u2019 feature from the Sage 300 ERP application, users may encounter an error such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA problem occurred and the search could not be performed. Contact your system administrator for help.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whenever Sage 300 application fails to open the \u2018Global Search\u2019 popup screen. This means that the \u2018GlobalSearchService\u2019 is stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Resolution of Error :<\/strong>
To resolve the above error in Sage 300, one need to follow the below mentioned simple steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. In Run command, type \u201cServices.msc\u201d and click on \u201cOK\u201d<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
    \"Run\"<\/a><\/center>\n\n\n\n

    2. Search the \u2018GlobalSearchService\u2019. If the status indicates \u201cNot Started\u201d, then manually right click and click on \u201cStart\u201c, to start the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Once the Service control Popup gets closed automatically, you will be able to see the status as Started.<\/li>
    2. Now as you log in to Sage, users will be able to click on the Global Search button and able to see the below screen.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
