We are happy to announce that the customization for large comments on Order Entry and Purchase order screen have been enhanced to consider newlines characters also.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Stuff:\u00a0<\/strong> Document Attachment module for Sage 300 v2021 Desktop released now<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a small enhancement in the functionality that is how the text is concatenated and distributed over the comments lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the earlier versions of this customization, whatever text that has been added as an large Comment \/Instruction is been copied as continuous text without considering line breaks in original text and then just distributed over the comments\/Instructions lines as displayed in below screenshot:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the above screenshot you can see the comments are added which is information like an address, on the similar line there may be info related to product \/ Item that might need to include on separate lines so that it will print on report in a perfect manner as entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But, as per old working of customization, this copy pasted information from comments\/ instructions popup will be concatenated first, removing line breaks and will then distributed over the comments\/ instructions lines as character string of 80 characters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the report displays the comments on detail lines as entered and it won\u2019t shows info as expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To overcome above scenario, we have modified our distribution algorithm. This will now considers the line breaks in the text copied and breaks the string where it exceeds 80 characters, probably on last word which sums up less than 80 characters so the word will not get break in between. So, now the latest version will distribute same text as displayed in the screenshot below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This will display the comments on report in a presentable manner as they appear same as they have been entered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
