General Ledger saves the transaction amount based on account no instead of item no., qty etc. as in SO\/PO. Here, it may happen that user want to include number of quantity against the specific GL account to indicate the number of units purchased or sold in Sales\/Purchase Order module.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/1.-GL-Journal-Entry.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3358\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/1.-GL-Journal-Entry.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"638\" height=\"415\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Also Read:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<a title=\"Material Requirement Planning in Sage 300 ERP\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2013\/03\/19\/material-requirement-planning-in-sage-300-erp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Material Requirement Planning in Sage 300 ERP<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nTo do the same you can follow below mentioned steps:<br \/>\nSelect \u201c<strong>Maintain Quantities option\u201d <\/strong>in 2 different places as mentioned below.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>1. Account Tab of G\/L Option: <\/strong>Turn on the <strong>Maintain Quantity option<\/strong> and enter no of Decimal places as shown above. If user wants, then he\/she can only increase the no of decimal places (up to 3).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/2.-GL-options.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-3359\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/2.-GL-options.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"430\" height=\"408\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><em><strong>Note:<\/strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.6em;\"> Once this option is checked, it cannot be turned off again.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u00a0<strong>2.
