As we are aware the recently developed Barcode Module add-on for QR code generation included in Sage 300 ERP<\/a> makes the QR code generating and scanning process easier, faster, and more precise for users in order to keep a check on the physical inventory counts. Scanning the QR code converts the data into a readable format that provides details like the item’s name, price, location, etc. This process makes it easy for the users to create the entries as it reduces the efforts of entering data manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Stuff<\/em><\/strong>: – Purchase Order Report with QR Code<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this blog, we will see the process of generating and printing the QR codes. Initially, the user needs to configure the details in the B\/I options screen that will determine the length of the item, location, maximum\/minimum quantity, and item description details that will be present in the generated QR code. Below is the screenshot of the options screen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As seen in the above screenshot the length can be defined by selecting the particular check box and entering the length manually. The Item number structure in the QR code label can be set either with the Item Master Table or with the Item Master Optional Field Table.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Item Master Table option allows user to choose an option where the item number in the generated QR code will either be in formatted format or un-formatted format depending upon the configuration selected. Please refer to the screenshot below<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the user selects the Item Master Optional Field Table option, then the field name will provide a list of the Optional fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The user needs to create an optional field and assign it against as Item for which the QR code is to be generated. The value for the optional field will be a unique value with length as defined in the length segment of the Options screen. This configuration will be helpful when item numbers are of different lengths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus with the help of the above details user can easily configure the setup required for generating the QR Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
