To make the Goods Return (GR) process more intuitive, accurate, and user-friendly, a set of enhancements has been introduced in the GR module. These changes are designed specifically with end users in mind, reducing manual effort and improving control at the transaction level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Stuff: &#8211; <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2026\/02\/05\/simplifying-supplier-eta-updates-in-sage-300\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2026\/02\/05\/simplifying-supplier-eta-updates-in-sage-300\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Simplifying Supplier ETA Updates with the ETA Import Feature in Sage 300<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>1. Customer Number &amp; Customer Name at Detail Level<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, customer details were captured only at the header level. With the new update, both <strong>Customer Code<\/strong> and <strong>Customer Name<\/strong> columns are now added at the <strong>detail line level<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By default, these fields will auto-populate based on the header selection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>However, users now have the flexibility to modify customer details at the detail line if needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This enhancement ensures better accuracy in multi-customer return scenarios, especially when handling mixed items.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. Improved Invoice Selection Logic<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Previously, invoices were fetched based on the combination of <strong>header-level customer code<\/strong> and <strong>item code<\/strong> at the detail level.<br>With the update, invoices will now be populated using:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Item Code (Detail level)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Customer Code (Detail level)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ship-to Code (Detail level)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This ensures that invoice selection is more precise and aligned with the actual return item and customer combination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Default Return Type &amp; Sequence Update<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>At the detail line, <strong>\u201cCredit Note\u201d<\/strong> will now be the default return type.<br>Additionally, the drop-down sequence has been reorganized to make selection faster and more intuitive:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Credit Note (Default)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exchange<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Repair<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replaced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Return<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Others (no fixed sequence)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>This refinement ensures that the most commonly used return type appears first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4.
