There could be different reasons to pay back the customer, it could be short closure of an order for 100% advance paid, could be discounts on bad order delivery, cash back if the customer reaches a particular sales target etc. Let\u2019s take an example where we have processed a credit note to the customer for any one of the reason mentioned above and now the customer wishes to have a refund instead of replacements.<br \/>\n<em><em><strong>The New Stuff:<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<a title=\"Order Entry Reports in Sage 300 ERP\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2013\/03\/20\/order-entry-reports-in-sage-300-erp\/\" target=\"_blank\">Order Entry Reports in Sage 300 ERP<\/a><\/em><br \/>\nThis Credit Note will be used by the user to process Refund Entry. To process refunds, navigate to A\/R \u00e0 A\/R Transactions \u00e0Refund Entry as illustrated in the below screenshot<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/113.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4908\" alt=\"1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/113.png\" width=\"416\" height=\"242\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Select the Customer by clicking on the Finder where one will be able to see list of all the Customers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/29.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4909\" alt=\"2\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/29.png\" width=\"450\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Refund Date is the date on which you are going to process the refund\/print the check.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/35.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4910\" alt=\"3\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/35.png\" width=\"448\" height=\"268\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then click on the Document Number to select the Credit Note against which you want to process the refund and put in the amount that you wish to refund in this entry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/44.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4911\" alt=\"4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/44.png\" width=\"451\" height=\"261\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Below screenshot shows the selection of the Credit Note based on which user will make the refund entry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/53.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4912\" alt=\"5\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/53.png\" width=\"356\" height=\"257\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>In the below screenshot user selects the mode of payments Cash\/ Check\/Credit Card by which user wishes to make the refund entry and also user will enter the Refund Amount in Payment Amount marked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/61.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4913\" alt=\"6\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/61.png\" width=\"358\" height=\"258\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Here the user chose to make payment through cash so the selection is Cash in Payment Type and the refund amount is 20 in Payment Amount. The same amount is reflected in the Customer Cash Amount marked in the below screenshot. After following these simple process user can add and Post the Refund Entry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/71.png\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter  wp-image-4914\" alt=\"7\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/71.png\" width=\"452\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If user wishes to make payment by two different modes of payments then the user should make two different Refund Entries.
