In this blog, we will be focusing on the way where will be uploading the budget using budget maintenance screen.<\/p>\n<p>To use this option navigate to General Ledger &gt;&gt; G\/L accounts &gt;&gt; budget maintenance and follow the following steps to load budget for an account:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enter the account for which you want to load the budget.<\/li>\n<li>Select the Budget set which is nothing but the budget fiscal set. You can define up to five budget fiscal set in Sage 300 ERP depending on your requirement. For example one for original budget, another for revised budget and so on.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can select the budget set as per the settings done in Posting tab of the G\/L Options form which tells you which budget sets (if any) are locked. You cannot add, change, or delete information contained in a locked budget set.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/12.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5048\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/12.png\" alt=\"1 GL Options\" width=\"305\" height=\"325\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the year for which you want to view, modify and define the budget.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Go button to get the budget information appear in detail grid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/13.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5049\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/13.png\" alt=\"1 Budget Maintenance\" width=\"417\" height=\"318\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Select the budgeting method which in turn will calculate the budget amounts based on specified amounts and percentages using any combination of budget methods.<\/li>\n<li>Then, click on Add to at the bottom of screen which will modify the defined budget accordingly.<br \/>\nFor example: if budget method is Fixed amount then then budget will get modify as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/14.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5050\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/14.png\" alt=\"2. Budget Maintenance\" width=\"429\" height=\"319\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Where,<br \/>\nAmount supplied in Fixed Amount field got added to Budget Amount of defined account for all periods.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>New Stuff<\/strong><\/em> :\u00a0<a title=\"Quick Journal Entry in Sage 300 ERP\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/2013\/11\/06\/quick-journal-entry-in-sage-300-erp\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Quick Journal Entry in Sage 300 ERP<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And, if budget method is Base percentage increase then budget will get modify as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/15.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5051\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/15.png\" alt=\"3 Budget Maintenance\" width=\"437\" height=\"333\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Where,<br \/>\nIn the Base Amount field, enter the base amount you want to begin with (that is, the base amount you want to use to calculate the budget for Period 1). In the % Increase field, enter the percentage (in decimal notation) by which the base amount should be increased.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Next, you can use Fiscal Set Look-up feature for any of the below mentioned purposes:<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0i<\/strong>. To display actual and budget sets for any general ledger account selected in Account field.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 ii.\u00a0<\/strong>To Copy Budget of an account displayed to the one selected at the bottom using any of the copying method.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5052\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sageaccpacerp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/16.png\" alt=\"4. Budget Maintenance\" width=\"441\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Further, Replace button can be used to replace the existing budget amounts in the budget set with the amounts displayed in the Inquiry Amount column or from the budget method fields.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to this, you can use Delete function to remove a budget set from an account.<\/li>\n<li>When the desired amounts are displayed for the fiscal periods in the Budget Amount column, click the Save button.<\/li>\n<li>To clear all the period amounts for the displayed budget set:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this blog, we concluded how one can maintain budgets in Sage 300 ERP for any of the account defined in our Chart of Account.
