In our last blog, we had discussed about Statutory and Excise Module-Configuration-I<\/a> in that we discussed about the configuration of Company profile and Location profile<\/strong>. We also learnt to calculate Additional duties<\/strong> .In this blog we will learn how to maintain Vendor, Customer and Item information the trading excise module.<\/strong>
\nWhen we are dealing with Central Excise it\u2019s very Crucial task to maintain all information so Sage Accpac provide optional \u00a0fields<\/strong> to maintain the data.
\nNew Stuff:<\/strong> <\/span>Vendor item cost and rating<\/a>
\n\u2022 Maintaining Customer information<\/strong>
\nFollowing are optional fields where we store statutory data for Customer like PAN no., Commissionerate, etc . These optional fields are regarding to Excise and trading.<\/p>\n

\"AR<\/a><\/p>\n

On this screen, you enter Following Details, which are used for various forms of correspondence and reports:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Excise registration number ( range, division in which this is located)
\n\u2022 Central sales tax (CST) number
\n\u2022 Local sales tax (LST) registration number
\n\u2022 Permanent account number (PAN)
\n\u2022 customers’ tax registration numbers
\n\u2022 Maintaining Vendor information<\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintaining Vendor information<\/strong>
\nHere also we maintain the information for Vendor like Customer as shown in the below screen shot<\/p>\n

\"Optional<\/a><\/p>\n

There is one Extra field for Vendor i.e. TYPE<\/strong>.
\nThere can be various following Types of Vendor. Types are as follows.<\/p>\n

1. Agent of Manufacturer.
\n2. Depo
\n3. First Stage Dealer.
\n4. Importer.
\n5. Manufacturer.
\n6. Second Stage Dealer.
\n7.Vendor.<\/p>\n

\"IC<\/a><\/p>\n

\u2022 Maintaining Item information.<\/strong>
\nThis Item Optional Fields are used to Capture Additional information for Item such as Color, Dangerous, Excisable, Warranty, Item no, Item type, Price etc.
\nHere important optional field is Item type. Following are Item Type which we have to Choose.<\/p>\n

1. Capital Goods.
\n2. Component Item.
\n3. Finished Good.
\n4. Finished Goods.
\n5. Kit.
\n6. Master Item.
\n7. Raw Material.
\n8. SCRAP<\/p>\n

In this way we are done with the maintaining the statutory info for vendor and customer in the excise module. In our next blog we will discuss about how we will configure the additional duties as taxes in case of import purchase
