Sage CRM<\/a> allows to log\/manage all Sales and Service records against the Company and Person entities very efficiently. But have you ever faced such a problem, where your Sales executive mistakenly created duplicate person records in CRM. And many transactions had been logged against both the records. How do you manage Data Accuracy???<\/p>\n

Deletion of all the transaction records against one person record and manual creation of the same against another must be the only idea popping in your mind!<\/p>\n

Well no, we can achieve this easily by using \u201cMerge person\u201d <\/em><\/strong>functionality of SAGE CRM<\/a>. Below is the overall process of merging person data without any data loss in few easy steps.<\/p>\n

First of all, you need to provide access to a specific User Account through the User configuration screen. To do the same follow below steps –<\/p>\n

1. Go to \u201cAdministration \u2013 Users \u2013 User Summary\u201d<\/strong> and click on \u201cChange\u201d<\/strong>.
\n2. In \u201cSecurity\u201d<\/strong> section, select \u201cMerge Persons\/Companies\u201d<\/strong> as \u201cYes\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u00a0Search for the desired Person record in CRM \u2013<\/p>\n

\nVarious different cases are logged against both the person records.

Now, Go to the Summary of 1st person record, click on \u201cChange<\/strong>\u201d, you will see \u201cMerge Person<\/strong>\u201d button. Now, click this button, select \u201cSource<\/strong>\u201d i.e. 2nd\u00a0<\/span>Person name, check the checkbox \u201cMerge Cases<\/strong>\u201d and click on Save.<\/p>\n

You will find that the Case record which was tagged against 1st<\/span>\u00a0person record is now made available against another person.<\/p>\n
