The database and SQL server details can be viewed from Sage CRM and in Registry.<br \/>\nNow in this blog we are going to discuss how Admin Users can configure database settings in Sage CRM post installation.<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong><em>New Stuff:<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2016\/10\/19\/modify-user-preferences-from-info-manager-users-login\/\" target=\"_blank\">Modify User Preferences from Info Manager user\u2019s Login<\/a><\/span><br \/>\nSage CRM Admin Users can navigate to <strong>Administration<\/strong> <strong>|<\/strong> <strong>System | Databases<\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Database-settings.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-13379\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Database-settings-1024x291.jpg\" alt=\"Database settings\" width=\"595\" height=\"169\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis screen shows the default configured database details that were entered during installation. Admin User can edit these details. Let\u2019s go through individual details of the listed fields in above screenshot.<br \/>\n<strong>Database User ID<\/strong>:<br \/>\nUser id which will be used to connect to database.<br \/>\n<strong>Password<\/strong>:<br \/>\nPassword of SQL Server user.<br \/>\n<strong>Use Integrated Windows NT Security<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThis option allows us to use the IUSR (if added) account to connect to the database by ignoring database user id and the password when checked.<br \/>\nIUSR is a built in account for all anonymous authentication.<br \/>\nThis option is suitable if SQL Server running on the same computer where IIS is installed.<br \/>\n<strong>Default Database Driver<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThis option allows to set the type of driver we are connecting to using MDAC.<br \/>\n<strong>Default Database Server<\/strong>:<br \/>\nServer name where database is located.<br \/>\n<strong>Default Database<\/strong>:<br \/>\nDatabase name which you want to configure. We can change this option to set different database but need to ensure database exists in SQL and valid Sage CRM database.<br \/>\n<strong>Always Use Default Database<\/strong>:<br \/>\nThis option allows Users the ability to define an alternative database to log into from the Sage CRM login screen if option is set to No.<br \/>\nIf option selected as\u00a0 &#8216;No&#8217; then at the time of CRM login It will ask you to enter a database name which you want to login along with user name and password.\u00a0 Refer below Screen shot.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logon_ChangeDB.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-13377\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/Logon_ChangeDB.jpg\" alt=\"Logon_ChangeDB\" width=\"603\" height=\"347\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThis technique is mostly used for training the Users and testing purposes. Users can play around the system learning how to insert\/edit\/delete by using alternate database and knowing the fact they are not harming the actual Sage CRM database.<br \/>\nThis field setting controls the access to an alternative database and it does not control the loading of a separate Application Server. If live users accessing Sage CRM outside domain network then they will not have the ability to choose database on login screen. They will be entertained with default database connection.<br \/>\nIf selected option is set to Yes then default database will be used every time.<br \/>\n<strong>Query Timeout<\/strong>:<br \/>\nSometimes SQL statement may take time to and resulting timeout errors in log files. We can control this timeout setting by increasing the Query Timeout field value.
