{"id":147,"date":"2009-06-06T08:44:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-06T08:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/?p=147"},"modified":"2009-06-06T08:44:00","modified_gmt":"2009-06-06T08:44:00","slug":"filtering-search-select-advance-field-at-runtime","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2009\/06\/06\/filtering-search-select-advance-field-at-runtime\/","title":{"rendered":"Filtering Search Select Advance Field at runtime.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As we all know that we can filter the <strong>selection<\/strong> field based on some <strong>criteria<\/strong> by writing the <strong>script<\/strong> for the same on <strong>client side<\/strong> coding, but have you ever tried filtering the <strong>Search Select Advance<\/strong> field based on the value in the <strong>selection<\/strong> field????<\/p>\n<p>For example, suppose you have a selection field named \u201c<strong>test_selection<\/strong>\u201d, and a SSA field named &#8220;<strong>test_MainEId<\/strong>&#8221; which is associated with custom entity say \u2018<strong>MainEntity\u2019<\/strong>. The <strong>MainEntity<\/strong> table contains fields as &#8220;<strong>main_MainEId<\/strong>&#8221; and &#8220;<strong>main_testselection<\/strong>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Now here, is it possible to filter the <strong>test_MainEId<\/strong> on the basis of value selected in the field <strong>test_selection<\/strong> ????<\/p>\n<p>Well, this is a quite doable task. In order to do this filtration, you may need to do some customization at <strong>client side<\/strong>.
