{"id":156,"date":"2009-06-19T13:42:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-19T13:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/?p=156"},"modified":"2009-06-19T13:42:00","modified_gmt":"2009-06-19T13:42:00","slug":"global-company-library-customization-in-sage-crm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2009\/06\/19\/global-company-library-customization-in-sage-crm\/","title":{"rendered":"Global Company Library Customization in Sage CRM"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Documents <\/strong>functionality provided by <strong>Sage CRM <\/strong>allows you to store all your <strong>documents <\/strong>against all the <strong>standard entities <\/strong>like <strong>Company, Person, Case, Opportunity <\/strong>etc. You know that you can go to the <strong>documents <\/strong>tab against particular entity record and attach the new document as per your requirement.<\/p>\n<p>Now suppose, that the requirement is to attach the single document with several entity records at the same time then it is often a cumbersome act to go by above given method. Then, here is our solution named <strong>Global Company Library Update <\/strong>if you want to have this functionality. Right now this works with the <strong>Company <\/strong>entity and it can be molded according the requirement for <strong>other entities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The functioning of the component is as follows<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The basic approach is to have the <strong>user <\/strong>first upload the <strong>document <\/strong>into the <strong>Global Documents <\/strong>section of <strong>CRM<\/strong>. The <strong>update process <\/strong>will basically copy the <strong>global document<\/strong> into each of the <strong>selected companies <\/strong>library folder and add a record into the library table.
