{"id":159,"date":"2009-06-25T06:59:00","date_gmt":"2009-06-25T06:59:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/?p=159"},"modified":"2009-06-25T06:59:00","modified_gmt":"2009-06-25T06:59:00","slug":"can-we-set-the-company-territory-field-value-to-the-current-logged-in-users-territory-instead-of-the-default","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2009\/06\/25\/can-we-set-the-company-territory-field-value-to-the-current-logged-in-users-territory-instead-of-the-default\/","title":{"rendered":"Can we set the Company territory field value to the Current logged in user&#039;s Territory instead of the default?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We all know that <strong>Territory<\/strong> (<strong>comp_secterr<\/strong>) field appears as a <strong>selection<\/strong> field on the <strong>Company Entry screen<\/strong> while creating a <strong>new company<\/strong>, but actually this field is not of type Selection.<\/p>\n<p>If you will see the field type for this field by firing following query at <strong>back-end<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color:#3366ff;\">Select<\/span> ColP_EntryType <span style=\"color:#3366ff;\">From<\/span> Custom_Edits Where Colp_ColName=<span style=\"color:#ff0000;\">&#8216;Comp_SecTerr&#8217;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>you will find that the field type is set to <strong>53<\/strong> and not<strong> 21<\/strong> which is for selection fields. Actually speaking, <strong>53<\/strong> is the type set for the territory fields.<\/p>\n<p>Now as this field is not the default <strong>selection<\/strong> type field, we cannot make use of the <strong>Create Script<\/strong> for setting the <strong>default value<\/strong> for this field. Then where you can write your code to achieve this <strong>functionality<\/strong>??? The answer is <strong>Custom Content<\/strong> box.
