There are some simple steps to achieve the same in CRM<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

1. Create a new territory<\/strong> field (selection type).<\/p>\n

2. Add the selection<\/strong> options for this Territory<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n

3. For adding the selection<\/strong> options, please put the territory<\/strong> name i.e. Terr_Caption<\/strong>) in the Add Translation<\/strong> field and Territory<\/strong> Id (i.e. Terr_TerritoryID<\/strong>) in the Code field. Here, Terr_Caption<\/strong> and Terr_Territory<\/strong> fields belong to Territories<\/strong> table.<\/p>\n

But with this approach the territory<\/strong> field will not display with the territories<\/strong> in tree structure<\/strong> (i.e. hierarchical structure<\/strong>). If you would like to display the same then we can do it manually by adding the (—) in front of Territory Name<\/strong> in the custom territory<\/strong> field. Please refer the below screen shot:<\/p>\n

Here we would like to tell one more thing that if you want to add new<\/strong> territory<\/strong> in the Standard Territory<\/strong> field, then there are two options<\/strong> for maintaing the synchronization<\/strong> between these two territory<\/strong> fields (i.e. Standard Territory field<\/strong> and Custom Territory field<\/strong>):<\/p>\n

1. In future, if a new<\/strong> territory<\/strong> is added in the system<\/strong> then it is necessary<\/strong> to add the new option<\/strong> for the newly created territory<\/strong> field. You will need to maintain territories<\/strong> at both the places.<\/p>\n

2. Otherwise we already have a territory synchronization<\/strong> process, in which we provided a button. All territories<\/strong> can get synchronized<\/strong> by the single click<\/strong> on this button<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
