Client side scripts and JQuery has although taken up customizations to a higher level, it does requires to write a few lines of codes\/functions in order to customize the Date field\u2019s functional behavior.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>New Post:&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2018\/09\/10\/generate-unique-reference-number-in-custom-field-using-workflow\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Generate Unique Reference Number in Custom Field using Workflow<\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of our Customer walked in with a requirement where he needed to auto-trigger a follow up mail, post 7 days of a particular process stage. This clearly describes that we had to store two Date values; i.e. <em>\u2018Current Date\u2019<\/em> as in when the record was progressed to a particular workflow stage and <em>\u2018Follow up Date\u2019<\/em> as in on which date the Follow up mail must be triggered. This calls for some scripting through JQuery, JavaScript etc.<\/p>\n<p>However in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sagesoftware.co.in\/product-sage-crm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sage CRM<\/a>, such points can be handled by setting an appropriate column value. To do the same, follow below steps \u2013<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Login to <strong>CRM<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Create a <strong>Dummy Date<\/strong> <em>(Follow up Date Field)<\/em> field in respective Entity for e.g. Opportunity.<\/li>\n<li>Add this field on the respective workflow stage of Opportunity, where it should auto &#8211; calculate the 7th day from the Current Day.<\/li>\n<li>Through the <strong>Set Column Value<\/strong> action on workflow, set the field value as <strong>\u201810080\u2019<\/strong>.
