In Sage CRM<\/a>, Shared Documents<\/strong> tab is used to store corporate documents that can be accessed quickly whenever required. Only System administrators and Info managers with Document Library Rights can add or edit shared documents. One can add document in Shared documents tab by navigating through My CRM -> Shared Documents<\/strong> tab. But, what if you need to store documents in CRM but need to keep it confidential from other users?<\/p>\n

Suppose you have added some confidential document of company in shared documents tab. And you don\u2019t want it to be available to other users in CRM. Then, in Sage CRM<\/a> 2018 R2 onwards, this can be achieved by following below steps.<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Login to Sage CRM<\/a>.
\n2.<\/strong> Go to My CRM -> Shared Documents -> Add File<\/strong>.
\n3.<\/strong> Set the \u201cPrivate\u201d<\/strong> field to \u201cYes\u201d<\/strong> and save.<\/p>\n

\nAfter following above steps, you can see the document added in the list. But, when you login through other user account and navigate to Shared Documents tab, you will not see the documents which are marked as Private<\/strong> in the list.<\/p>\n
