Users can also mark record from custom entities as Favourites. But have you ever have faced any error while accessing a Custom entity record from Favourites list?<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>New Stuff: <\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2019\/04\/02\/how-to-know-company-person-has-been-used-for-mailchimp-swiftpage-e-marketing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How to know Company\/Person has been used for MailChimp\/Swiftpage E-Marketing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were various kinds of error faced while marking a Custom entity record as Favourite; like in some cases, the user can include a custom record in favourites list, but upon clicking on the link it fails to display the record\u00a0and gives an error. Whereas, in certain cases when you click on Star icon to make custom record favourite and nothing happens \u2013 the icon colour remains unchanged suggesting the record is not marked as a favourite.<\/p>\n<p>On troubleshooting the issue we found that the <strong>recordUrl<\/strong> attribute of the Favourite item in JSON Request is blank. Thus whenever user clicked on the link it failed.<\/p>\n<p>You can follow below steps to solve the link issue for favourite records:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>JSON request is based on sData, so you need to enable the SData for custom entities as well. You can enable the SData for Custom entity from:<br \/>\n<strong>Administration -&gt; Advanced Customization -&gt; Tables and Databases -&gt;<\/strong> Select <strong>Yes<\/strong> from <strong>Read-only sData<\/strong> field and save the details.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can refer below screen shot for same.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21918\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1136\" height=\"297\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1.jpg 1136w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1-300x78.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1-768x201.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1-1024x268.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/\u202bimg1-660x173.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1136px) 100vw, 1136px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you have enabled the sData for custom entity, you can check that the <strong>recordUrl\u00a0<\/strong>Attribute have value in JSON Request by accessing the below URL in browser<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><em>localhost\/sdata\/InstanceNamej\/userdata?SID=**************&amp;Action=getFavourites<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>By accessing above URL you will get the list of all favourite items and value in <strong>recordUrl<\/strong> attribute.<\/p>\n<p>You can refer below screen shot for reference.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21919\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/img2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1008\" height=\"166\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/img2.jpg 1008w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/img2-300x49.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/img2-768x126.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/img2-660x109.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1008px) 100vw, 1008px\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When the <strong>recordUrl<\/strong> attribute of JSON request is blank for custom entity then in such scenario make sure that the <strong>Bord_EntityKind<\/strong> and <strong>Bord_ViewFileName<\/strong> fields are not blank in the <strong>Custom_Tables<\/strong> table in Database for custom entities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bord_EntityKind should be set as <strong>asp<\/strong> and <strong>Bord_ViewFileName<\/strong> should be summary page path.<\/p>\n<p>For example, for Custom Entity named Agreement execute below Update Query:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>UPDATE Custom_Tables SET\u00a0\u00a0bord_EntityKind=\u2019asp\u2019, Bord_ViewFileName=&#8217;Agreement\\AgreementSummary.asp&#8217; <\/strong><\/em><br \/>\n<em><strong>WHERE bord_caption='&lt;Custom Entity Table Name&gt;&#8217;<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Once you have done with above steps, do full metadata refresh.
