Also, it saves lots of time and efforts. Components:<\/strong> This tab list down all the available components to be installed in <strong>\u201cAvailable Components\u201d<\/strong> section. You can also add the Components using <strong>\u201cUpload new component\u201d<\/strong> button as shown in above screenshot.<br \/>\n<strong>2. Component Details:<\/strong> This tab list down the Current Component. Also, it shows the Existing Components in the system as shown in below screenshot. We have to do some Field and Screen level customizations, so we thought to record all the changes in CRM. To record the changes, we were trying to create new Component from \u201c<strong>Component Details<\/strong>\u201d tab. But, after entering Component Name and Description, whenever we clicked on save button, system throws below error.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21958\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1238\" height=\"662\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3.jpg 1238w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3-300x160.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3-768x411.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3-1024x548.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component3-660x353.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1238px) 100vw, 1238px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>As the error depicts that it is an SQL error, we checked SQL logs and found below error.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-21959\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1287\" height=\"81\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4.jpg 1287w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4-300x19.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4-768x48.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4-1024x64.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Component4-660x42.jpg 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1287px) 100vw, 1287px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Whenever we try to insert data in Components table, large amount of data is being entered in the <strong>Version<\/strong> field irrespective of its size. \u00a0Till Sage CRM 2018 R2, the value for Version field is being entered as \u201c<strong>2018<\/strong>\u201d only. But, in 2018 R3 it is trying to insert the value as \u201c<strong>2018 R3<\/strong>\u201d, which is greater than the specified size. To overcome this issue, we have to increase the field size of <strong>Version<\/strong> field. Run the below query in SQL to do the same.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Alter table Components<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>alter column Cmp_Version nvarchar(20)<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now, try to create Component and you will be able to do so without any error.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In Sage CRM, Component Manager allows Customizations done in one CRM to be saved and transfer it to another Sage CRM system.
