Use of labels has been greatly identified in terms of mailing due to ease of printing and accuracy of the data. Several business methodologies maintaining relation with clients through mails use the Avery standard labels to be used to quickly consolidate client details and attach the same on any material. Multiple labels can be printed on the single page using Avery standard label printing as shown below.<\/p>\n

\nThe question is, can we do it from CRM with least customizations? Well, the answer is YES.<\/p>\n

How to go about this?<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. <\/strong>Create a Local Template for merging.
\n<\/strong>Open Microsoft Word and create a new document.<\/p>\n

Save the same with name My Template<\/strong> at any location on your disc.<\/p>\n

2. Create a Group <\/strong>
\n<\/strong>Go to MY CRM<\/strong> –> Groups <\/strong>and create a New Group as per your criteria.In this case we will create group of People.<\/p>\n

\nSave the group to see the below screen.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

3. Create Merging Template
\n<\/strong>Click on the New Document<\/strong> button from above area.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Select an option Edit a local template then merge it<\/strong> option and then click on Continue<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

Select a template My Template<\/strong> you have created above from the disc.<\/p>\n

If you are using Word 2007 you will be directly put onto Mailing<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n

\nNow this needs to be formatted for Avery label printing. Under Start mail merge<\/strong> select Labels<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Set below values
\nLabel Vendors<\/strong>: Avery US Letter
\nProduct Number<\/strong>: 8376
\nClick OK<\/strong> button.Click on Edit Recipient List<\/strong> button which reads the record set attached and then click on OK button.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

With the above set the record sets are formatted on template as shown below.<\/p>\n

\nNow just below \u00abNext Record\u00bb<\/strong> you can put your Merge fields from Insert Merge Field<\/strong> tab as shown below.<\/p>\n

\nMerge field will be inserted at the cursor location, Put the fields as per the structure you want. (Note<\/strong>: follow this for all the \u00abNext Record\u00bb<\/strong> tags in page except the first one.)<\/p>\n

\nNow save this template on your disc to be used for merging purpose with name My Merge Template.doc<\/strong> and close word.<\/p>\n

4. Print Avery Labels<\/strong>
\nGo to Group we have created as explained above and click on New Document<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

This time select an option Merge with local template<\/strong> and click on Continue<\/strong> button.Select the template named My Merge Template.doc<\/strong> created in above step and click on Open<\/strong> button to see the Avery labels printed as shown below.<\/p>\n

\nPrint them on the paper or stickers as per your requirement and use them as Labels.<\/p>\n
