Sage CRM<\/a>\u2019s Quick find allows users to search for key terms\nacross single-line text, email address, and URL fields on all company, people,\ncase, opportunity, lead, solution, communication, order, quote, and custom\nentity records at once. Since the Quick find helps with the results from various\nentities; many a time\u2019s users face the situations where the search result\nrecords start or display the same name in the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Stuff:<\/em><\/strong> Migrate two or more company databases from any CRM to a single\nSage CRM database company<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to similar name as it becomes difficult for the user to identify the desired record, they are not able to quickly navigate or open the correct record summary as shown in below image. <\/p>

For such instances we have come up with a solution that will\nhelp to increase width of Quick Find Results drop down. Below are the steps\nthat you need to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Go to \u201c\\\\WWWRoot\\js\\app\\features\n\\newuisearch.js\u201d<\/strong>.<\/li>
  2. Open file in Notepad editor and Search the \u201ccrm.trimFieldWithEllipsis(SolrSearch.\naddTranslation(item.content), 30)\u201d<\/strong> or go to line number 90. You have\nto modify the trim value from 30 to a bigger value. It will extend the length\nof the string that\u2019s shown in the results. Save the file.<\/li>
  3. After making above mentioned changes. Go\nto \u201c\\\\WWWRoot\\Themes\\\u201d<\/strong> folder. There will be a file named as\nergonomic.css.<\/li>
  4. Open file in Notepad editor and Search the \u201c.er_dropdown_search_results\u201d<\/strong> or\ngo to line number 4310. You need to increase \u201cwidth\u201d as per your requirement.\nOnce done, Save file and close the file.<\/li>
  5. Run IISRESET<\/strong> command.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    After making above changes, results from the quick find drop down will be displayed below.<\/p>
