By setting territories in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/crm-development\/sage-crm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Sage CRM (opens in a new tab)\">Sage CRM<\/a>, we can restrict one user from accessing records of another user belonging to different territory. Territory field is available on Main entities. A territory can be defined geographically, by product area or by any other criteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>New Stuff<\/em><\/strong><em>: <\/em> <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Increase width of Quick Find Results drop down in Sage CRM (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2019\/08\/19\/increase-width-of-quick-find-results-drop-down-in-sage-crm\/\" target=\"_blank\">Increase width of Quick Find Results drop down in Sage CRM<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of our client came up with a requirement of reorganization of territories created in CRM. Well this can be done using Standard mechanism \u201c<strong>Move Territory<\/strong>\u201d provided in Sage CRM. For this we followed below steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Login to <strong>Sage CRM<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Administration -> Users -> Security -> Move Territory<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select the <strong>Source Territory<\/strong> and click on Next button.<\/li><li>Select the <strong>Target Territory<\/strong> and click on Next button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>After following above steps it does not move the territories but throws the below error.\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Territory.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/08\/Territory.jpg\" alt=\"Error in Move Terrirtory\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sometimes there are records in primary entities having blank territory which cause this functionality to throw an error and stops the entire process of territory movement. We searched for such records in database but didn\u2019t found the same. So, we searched in CRM logs folder where we saw \u201c<strong>ewareterritoryerrors<\/strong>\u201d log file was generated. We checked that file and found below error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong><em>Territory 1630496512 in table Cases does not have a corresponding territory in the territory table<\/em><\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We searched for the above territory id in Territories table and found that it does not exists in it. So, for such records we updated other territory id and performed Move Territory functionality again.
