The various types of Fields available within Sage CRM Administration has helped to manage\/limit the data inputs to a specific format. Limiting the number of characters to be inputted, Accepting only Date values, accepting only integer values, setting default values to the fields and so on. Such configurations help for quick data capturing tasks thereby making it more reliable and efficient within the Users. But, have you ever tried setting multiple default values in a multi \u2013 select field in Sage CRM?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>New Stuff: <\/em><\/strong><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2020\/02\/14\/sage-crms-data-loading-issue-on-mobile-browser\/\" target=\"_blank\">Sage CRM\u2019s Data loading issue on Mobile browser<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As we all know, selection or multi-select fields\u2019 helps to set one or more values respectively. But due to some pre-requisites, we were trying our luck on setting multiple default values in a multi select field. The main reason for such behavior was list made available for setting Default values is a Selection list and not the Multi \u2013 select list. Below is the screen shot of the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1_Selection-List.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" \nsrc=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/1_Selection-List.jpg\" alt=\"Selection List for setting Default value\"><\/a>\n\n<font size=\"2\"><center><i>Selection List for setting Default value<\/i><\/center><\/font><\/p><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus to define multiple default values for multi-select field, we need to do a small customization on screen level. To achieve the same we used JavaScript code. Below are the steps to follow:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/2_CreateScript.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" \nsrc=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/02\/2_CreateScript.jpg\" alt=\"Adding Script for Field at Screen level\"><\/a>\n\n<font size=\"2\"><center><i>Adding Script for Field at Screen level<\/i><\/center><\/font><\/p><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Go To, <strong>Administration&#8211;&gt; Customization&#8211;&gt; Opportunity<\/strong> and click on Screens Tab. From the list of screens find the summary screen for example <strong>OpportunityDetailBox <\/strong>and click on hyperlink.<\/li><li>From <strong>OpportunityDetailBox <\/strong>screen, select multi-select field you have added in Desktop HTML Screen Contents and add below code with comma separated values in <strong>Create Script<\/strong> of selected field and click on update button.
