At the year start of 2020 as all ways Sage comes with the latest version of Sage CRM<\/a> i.e. Sage CRM 2020R1. Which includes many more new features for users in different sections of Sage CRM<\/a>. As we know the users can add documents for the different entities like Company, person, etc. using drag and drop functionality. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But till the versions of Sage CRM 2019R2 document drop feature were used with the help of \u201cActive X Plugin\u201d within \u201cInternet Explorer\u201d. All the modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox isn\u2019t using Active X, that support may be added inside the browser extensions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we can see there is dedicated option under Documents & Reports Configuration<\/strong> for \u201cActive X Document Drop\u201d within the older Sage CRM versions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigate to Administration -> E-mail and Documents -> Documents & Reports Configuration <\/strong>and Refer below screenshot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\"Document<\/a>\n

Because of dependency on ActiveX Plugin within \u201cInternet Explorer\u201d many of users unable to use the Document drop feature. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in Sage CRM 2020R1<\/strong> to overcome that dependency of ActiveX Plugin, that extension or feature is embedded in the web pages of Sage CRM using the JavaScript\u2019s. As we can see after the dependency of \u201cActive X Plugin\u201d removed the option of \u201cAllow ActiveX Document Drop\u201d also removed. Refer below screenshot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\"Document<\/a>\n
