In Sage CRM we can add multiple records for all entities in which contact information of customer is added. Lead entity is mostly use to add new leads records, which is very important for business purpose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> At time of creating new lead Company name, person name and email address is added. Most of the time there Personal email ID and business email ID is identical, because this duplicate records are created in CRM. It\u2019s created so many confusions to take follow up from the leads or many transactions in which email ID of company or person is used process for both records. Also after the lead progress its company and person also created in Sage CRM. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>New Stuff:<\/strong><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2020\/02\/14\/sage-crms-data-loading-issue-on-mobile-browser\/\">Sage CRM\u2019s Data loading issue on Mobile browser<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> Till the 2019R2 version there is no restriction for the email address. To overcome all the problems of duplication in Sage CRM version 2020R1 there is one dedicated system configuration is added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Img-1-1.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Img-1-1.png\" alt=\"System Behavior\"><\/a>\n<font size=\"2\"><center><i>System Behavior<\/i><\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable the restriction on email address at time of creating new Lead. Navigate to <strong>Administration\u00a0\u2192\u00a0System\u00a0\u2192\u00a0System Behavior.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Initially value of \u201c<strong>Detect Duplicate Emails<\/strong>\u201d field is \u2018<strong>No\u2019<\/strong> as shown in below screenshot. Set value of field to <strong>Yes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p> For example try to create new lead with existing email ID, is showing a message \u201c<strong>Cannot create the record because the email you specified is already used by an existing record.
