It is possible to customize Sage CRM in different ways, to meet user requirement. There are many customization option in Administration.  So in this Blog we are going to see how to create a secondary Entity for Standards Entity. Sometime if organization is using Opportunity entity to store all of their Projects in Sage CRM. It need to create a secondary entity (Timesheet) linked to an Opportunity entity in which user can store Timesheet entries of that particular Project or Opportunity.  In such cases we need to create secondary Entity and linked to the standard entity, so Sage CRM gives us platform to add such Entities for Standard Entities,this can be achieve by using below steps. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us consider an example If\nyou want to add TimeSheet Entity on Opportunity, First you need to create\nSecondary Entity i.e. TimeSheet for that follow below step,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Login to Sage CRM.<\/li>
  2. Navigate to below path.
    Administration | Advanced Customization |Tables and Database<\/li>
  3. Select Create Table<\/strong> option<\/li>
  4. Write your Entity Name in Table Name, fill other details and Save. <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Next, Navigate to below path
    Administration | Customization |Opportunity| Tabs|
    Add the new tab details
    1. Caption:<\/strong> TimeSheet,
    2. Action:<\/strong> customedotnetdll 
    3. Custom Dot Net Dll Name<\/strong>: Enter the Dll Name
    4. Method Name: <\/strong>Add the method name from dll calling the list.
    After that click on Add <\/strong>and Save<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Now go to Opportunity Summary you can see your Secondary Entity (TimeSheet) Tab added. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    After selecting  TimeSheet Tab you can see list of TimeSheet records and also can create new TimeSheet Entry by clicking New TimeSheet <\/strong>Button which is shown below <\/p>\n\n\n\n
