Recently one of our clients came up with a requirement to filter the gadget that should display data on basis of the logged-in user set in the custom user field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>New Stuff<\/em>: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2021\/08\/25\/sage-crm-2021-r2-ux-improvements-configuration-of-quote-order-merge-document-names\/\"><strong><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2021\/08\/25\/sage-crm-2021-r2-ux-improvements-configuration-of-quote-order-merge-document-names\/\">Sage CRM 2021 R2: UX improvements \u2013 Configuration of Quote\/Order merge document names<\/a><\/strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have created a gadget against the Opportunity entity without checking a \u2018Filter by Current User\u2019 checkbox. So it shows all users on a gadget based on the \u2018Assigned To\u2019 field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Gadget-With-No-Filter.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Gadget-With-No-Filter.png\" alt=\"Gadget With No Filter\"><\/a><font size=\"2\"><center>Gadget With No Filter<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After that, we have checked the \u2018<strong>Filter by Current User<\/strong>\u2019 checkbox in a report and save the report. As per standard functionality, it shows the logged in user is filtered into the gadget on basis of the &#8216;Assigned To&#8217; field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Gadget-With-Assigned-To-Filter.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Gadget-With-Assigned-To-Filter.png\" alt=\"Gadget With Assigned To Filter\"><\/a><font size=\"2\"><center>Gadget With Assigned To Filter<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p><br>But, as per the Client\u2019s requirement gadget should filter on basis of the custom user field on Opportunity i.e. Manager Field.&nbsp; So we have proposed the below solution,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow below steps for the same,<br>1) Copy and paste below lines of code in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to check Assigned Userid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>select bord_AssignedUserId,* from custom_tables\nwhere bord_caption in ('opportunity','company')\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Select-SQL.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Select-SQL.png\" alt=\"Select SQL\"><\/a><font size=\"2\"><center>Select SQL<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2) So we have update the bord_AssignedUserId column.<br>Copy and paste below lines of code to update the custom table to display current user.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>update custom_tables\nset bord_AssignedUserId = 'oppo_manager'\nwhere Bord_TableId = 10\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Update-SQL.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Update-SQL.png\" alt=\"Update SQL\"><\/a><font size=\"2\"><center>Update SQL<\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3) Resave the report and check the gadget.
