Sage CRM also have inbuilt Email editor through which emails can be sent to clients and same can be saved in CRM. In Sage CRM, user can also create some predefined email templates which can be used to send emails. Like email outbound, Sage CRM also have Email Inbound functionality. In previous version of Sage CRM, email import functionality was only available for Company, Person and Opportunity. But, from release of Sage CRM 2023 R1, email inbound functionality is also available for Cases and Custom entities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>New Stuff<\/u><\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2023\/05\/02\/narrative-summary-for-company-in-sage-crm-2023-r1\/\">Narrative Summary for Company in Sage CRM 2023 R1<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable import of emails for custom entities, a System Administrator needs to activate <strong>read-only S-Data<\/strong> external access for that custom entity. For this follow the below steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login to Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Administration | Customization |&lt;custom entity name&gt;<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click on <strong>External Access<\/strong> tab and set \u201c<strong>Read-only SData<\/strong>\u201d to <strong>Yes<\/strong> and save.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer below screenshot for your reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/EmailImport1-1024x200.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/EmailImport1-1024x200.jpg\" alt=\"Enable Readonly sData access\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To enable Email import for Case entity, follow the below steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login to Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Administration | Customization | Communication.<\/strong><\/li><li>Search for the <strong>comm_caseid <\/strong>field. Select the edit button icon next to the <strong>comm_caseid <\/strong>field in the<strong> Field Security <\/strong>column.<\/li><li>In the <strong>Write Access<\/strong> column, select <strong>Allow<\/strong>, and select <strong>Continue.<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer below screenshot for your reference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/EmailImport2-1024x230.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/05\/EmailImport2-1024x230.jpg\" alt=\"Enable Email Import for Case entity\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After configuring above steps, user can start importing mails to <strong>custom entity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When a user click on Import Emails button they can view list of emails to be imported and they can do the following things with the emails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li><strong>Filter Emails<\/strong>: In the list, user can view list of all emails available in the Outlook folder\/Exchange server. It includes the mails that have been imported earlier in Sage CRM. In Sage CRM 2023 R1, user can now select <strong>Hide imported emails<\/strong> to hide the emails that had been imported into Sage CRM earlier.<\/li><li><strong>View the record into which email has been imported: <\/strong>In the list, new column <strong>Filed Against<\/strong> is added in Sage CRM 2023 R1. This column depicts against which record email has been imported.
