Essentially, this customization was aimed at facilitating the promotion of their auto-generated Service Ticket number as Sage 100 Sales Order number while promoting a Sage CRM Order into Sage 100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this blog, we will provide insights into the customization features we integrated into our client&#8217;s Sage CRM system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The client has introduced a field within the Sage CRM opportunity section. The choice made in this field dictates whether the opportunity being created is classified as a &#8220;Normal Opportunity&#8221; or a &#8220;Service Opportunity\u201d. If this created opportunity falls under the &#8220;Service&#8221; category, a Service Ticket ID is automatically generated and saved in a designated field known as the &#8220;Service Ticket Number Field.&#8221; This ID is then stored in a designated field known as the &#8220;Service Ticket Number.\u201d These IDs are generated in sequential order, ensuring an organized and structured approach to service ticket management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-4.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\nalign: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/center>\n<font size=\"2\"><center><i><\/i><\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p>Users have the ability to create multiple quotes or orders against the same Opportunity, in line with the standard Sage CRM functionality. When they promote a Sage CRM Order into Sage 100 using the GUMU&#x2122; promote order feature, the Service Ticket number from the Opportunity level is automatically carried over into the Sales Order Number field within Sage CRM. Subsequently, this information is synchronized into Sage 100, where it serves as the Sage 100 Order Number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-5.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border: 1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\nalign: center;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\"><\/a><\/center>\n<font size=\"2\"><center><i><\/i><\/center><\/font>\n\n\n\n<p>In the above customization, there were also chances of errors as the User had the ability to create multiple Quotes\/Orders against the same Opportunity. However, this can lead to potential confusion, as every order will inherit the Service Ticket number from the Opportunity level. To tackle this issue, we&#8217;ve put in place a validation system.
