Sage CRM offers several email-related features and functionalities to help you manage your email communication effectively. Sage CRM can be integrated with any email system (such as Microsoft Outlook or Exchange) to help you manage your emails seamlessly from within the CRM interface. Sage CRM allows you to capture and associate incoming emails with relevant records in the CRM system. You can also send emails directly from Sage CRM by configuring Email outbound settings in Sage CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>New Stuff<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2023\/11\/16\/bulk-promote-in-gumu-for-sage-crm-sage-100-integration\/\">Bulk Promote in GUMU\u2122 for Sage CRM \u2013 Sage 100 Integration.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you know from the release of Sage CRM 2020 R2, access to Basic Authentication is stopped and they have added new OAuth 2.0 Authentication. To use OAuth 2.0 we will be in need of Client ID and Client Secret. But, before that we need to enable the POP and IMAP access at mailbox level. To do the same follow below steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login into Outlook web app using the account having administrator privileges in outlook.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Outlook Settings -&gt; POP and IMAP<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Set the \u201c<strong>Let devices and apps use POP<\/strong>\u201d to <strong>YES<\/strong>.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Steps to get the OAuth 2.0 Client ID<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Sign in to the <strong>Azure Active Directory Admin center<\/strong> as an administrator.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>App Registrations<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Register a New Application by following below steps.<ul><li>Click New Registration.<\/li><li>Enter the Name of the Application.<\/li><li>In\u00a0Supported account types, select\u00a0Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Azure AD directory \u2013 Multitenant) and personal Microsoft accounts (e.g. Skype, Xbox)\u00a0option.<\/li><li>Under\u00a0Redirect URI, select\u00a0Web\u00a0and enter the following URIs:<br>  <em>http:\/\/localhost\/&lt;install name>\/custompages\/oauth\/callback.html<br>  https:\/\/&lt;server name>\/&lt;install name>\/custompages\/oauth\/callback.html<\/em><br>  <strong>Note<\/strong>: <strong><em>&lt;server name><\/em><\/strong> and <strong><em>&lt;install name><\/em><\/strong> should be in lower case.<\/li><li>Click on Register.<\/li><li>After registering the application, you will get the Application Id (Client Id). Copy the same and store it somewhere, because we have to add it in CRM.<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Steps to get the Client Secret<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>After registering the new application, go to <strong>Certificates &amp; secrets<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Click&nbsp;New client secret, type a description and select an expiry option and click Add.<\/li><li>From the Value column, copy the client secret value and store it somewhere, because we have to add it in CRM.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Follow below steps to give the <strong>APP Permissions<\/strong> for our newly registered APP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Go to <strong>APP Permissions -&gt; Microsoft APIs -&gt; Microsoft Graph -&gt; Delegated permissions<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Search for the following permission and add them.<ul><li><em>IMAP.AccessAsUser.All<\/em><\/li><li><em>POP.AccessAsUser.all<\/em><\/li><li><em>SMTP.Send<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all the permissions are added, now we need to add permission at application level. So that, our application can access Exchange mailboxes via client credentials flow with the SMTP, POP, and IMAP protocols. To do the same follow below steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Go to <strong>APP Permissions -&gt; APIs my organization uses<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Search for &#8220;<strong><em>Office 365 Exchange Onlin<\/em><\/strong><em><strong>e<\/strong><\/em>&#8221; and click on the same.<\/li><li>Then select \u201cApplication permissions\u201d.<\/li><li>For POP access, choose the&nbsp;<strong>POP.AccessAsApp<\/strong>&nbsp;permission. For IMAP access, choose the&nbsp;<strong>IMAP.AccessAsApp<\/strong>&nbsp;permission. For SMTP access, choose the\u202f<strong>SMTP.SendAsApp<\/strong>\u202fpermission.<\/li><li>After selecting the permissions, click on \u201c<strong>Add Permission<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all the permissions are added, we need to grant admin consent for the added permissions by clicking on \u201c<strong>Grant admin consent for<\/strong>\u201d as shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/OAuthEmail1.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/11\/OAuthEmail1.jpg\" alt=\"Grant Admin Consent for Permissions added\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, we will configure Client ID and Client Secret in CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login into Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Administration \u2192 Email and Documents \u2192 Email Management Server Options \u2192 New<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Enter the Client ID and Client Secret in the \u201c<strong>OAuth 2.0 client ID<\/strong>\u201d and \u201c<strong>Client secret value<\/strong>\u201d respectively.
