In our previous blog we have explained, how to integrate Sage CRM with Microsoft Outlook using OAuth 2.0 for Email Inbound. In this blog, we will discuss how to Import Emails using OAuth 2.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Related Post<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2023\/11\/20\/integrate-sage-crm-with-microsoft-outlook-using-oauth-2-0\/\">Integrate Sage CRM with Microsoft Outlook using OAuth 2.0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, we have explained how to get Client id and Client Secret. Now, we have to only add extra APP Permissions for our registered app. Follow below steps to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Sign in to the <strong>Azure Active Directory Admin center<\/strong> as an administrator.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>App Registrations<\/strong> and open the newly registered app.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>APP Permissions -> Microsoft APIs -> Microsoft Graph -> Delegated permissions<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Search for the following permission and add them.<ul><li><em>Contacts.Read<\/em><\/li><li><em>Contacts.Read.Shared<\/em><\/li><li><em>IMAP.AccessAsUser.All<\/em><\/li><li><em>Mail.Read<\/em><\/li><li><em>Mail.Read.Shared<\/em><\/li><li><em>Mail.ReadWrite<\/em><\/li><li><em>Mail.ReadWrite.Shared<\/em><\/li><li><em>POP.AccessAsUser.All<\/em><\/li><li><em>SMTP.Send<\/em><\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all the permissions are added, we need to grant admin consent for the added permissions by clicking on \u201c<strong>Grant admin consent for<\/strong>\u201d as shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail21-1024x546.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail21-1024x546.jpg\" \nalt=\"Grant Admin Consent for Permissions added\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, we will configure Client Id and Client secret in Sage CRM so that users could authenticate Azure Active directory and will connect to their Exchange Online accounts to import Contacts and Email. Follow below steps for the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login into Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to <strong>Administration \u2192 Email and Documents \u2192 OAuth 2.0 Settings for Importing Contacts and Emails \u2192 Change<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Enter the Client Id and Client Secret and save.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, every user should connect to their Exchange Online account as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login into Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to Preferences.<\/li><li>If you are connecting to your email account for first time then select \u201c<strong>Connect to Email Account<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/li><li>If you are already connected to an email account and would like to switch to a different account, then select \u201c<strong>Switch Email Account<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/li><li>After clicking on the button, it will prompt for user name and password for the Exchange Online account from which we have to import data.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>In previous version of CRM, whenever we import emails then the email received date used to be set as the date when email was imported and not the actual email date. But, now with this \u201c<strong>Import Contacts and Emails<\/strong>\u201d feature, we will get provision to set the actual email received date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the release of Sage CRM 2023 R2 version, one configuration is available in Preferences tab where we can set what email received date should be set. It can be either Current date or Actual email received date. Below are the steps to do the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Login into Sage CRM.<\/li><li>Go to Preferences.<\/li><li>Set the \u201c<strong>Default timestamp for imported emails<\/strong>\u201d field to a value \u201c<strong>Use email date<\/strong>\u201d or \u201c<strong>Use current date<\/strong>\u201d as per your requirement.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail22-1024x389.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail22-1024x389.jpg\" \nalt=\"Set date option in Preferences\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the value is set in Preferences tab then that value will by default come on the import email screen as shown in below screenshot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail23-1024x322.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full\" style=\"border:1px solid #A9A9A9; padding: 2px; margin: 2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/OAuthEmail23-1024x322.jpg\" \nalt=\"Set date while importing emails\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>User can also change the \u201c<strong>Timestamp for imported emails<\/strong>\u201d to the required value on the above screen if needed and click on &#8220;<strong>Import Emails<\/strong>&#8221; button.<br>In this way, we can set the current date or actual email received date as the email date for imported emails in Sage CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size: Medium;\"><strong>About Us<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greytrix \u2013 a globally recognized and one of the oldest Sage Development Partners is a one-stop solution provider for Sage ERP and Sage CRM organizational needs.
