{"id":29836,"date":"2026-02-23T11:29:01","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T11:29:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/?p=29836"},"modified":"2026-02-23T11:29:02","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T11:29:02","slug":"integrating-item-primary-vendor-with-sage-crm-products-in-gumu-for-sage-crm-sage-100-integration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2026\/02\/23\/integrating-item-primary-vendor-with-sage-crm-products-in-gumu-for-sage-crm-sage-100-integration\/","title":{"rendered":"Integrating Item Primary Vendor with Sage CRM Products in GUMU&#x2122; for Sage CRM \u2013 Sage 100 Integration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/product\/sage-crm\/gumu-sage-100-erp-integration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GUMU&#x2122; for Sage CRM \u2013 Sage 100 Integration<\/a>\u00a0is a <strong>real-time, bi-directional link<\/strong> that seamlessly connects Sage CRM and Sage 100 where users can view customers, vendors and sales information from either of the systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this blog, we highlight a recent customization implemented for a client using our GUMU&#x2122; for Sage CRM \u2013 Sage 100 integration solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The client required that the <strong>Primary Vendor<\/strong> assigned to each Item in Sage 100 (under Item Maintenance) be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Synchronized to Sage CRM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Displayed against the corresponding Product record in Sage CRM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Available as a filter while creating Quotes and Orders in Sage CRM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The objective was to provide sales users with better visibility of vendor-related product information directly within the CRM interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To meet this requirement, we introduced a new field named <strong>\u201cPrimary Vendor\u201d<\/strong> in the Sage CRM <strong>Products<\/strong> entity. This field stores the <strong>Item Primary Vendor<\/strong> value from Sage 100 through GUMU&#x2122; integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How It Works:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When the standard <strong>Import Product<\/strong> routine is executed in Sage CRM through GUMU&#x2122; integration with Sage 100:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Item Primary Vendor<\/strong> value is synchronized from Sage 100.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The value is stored in the Sage CRM database.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It is automatically mapped to the newly created <strong>Primary Vendor<\/strong> field in the Products entity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Each time the Import Product routine runs, the <strong>Primary Vendor<\/strong> field is automatically populated or updated for all selected products, ensuring vendor information remains accurate and consistent without manual intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"864\" height=\"406\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29837\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image.png 864w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-300x141.png 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-768x361.png 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-660x310.png 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To further enhance usability, we extended this functionality into the Quote and Order creation screens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">While Creating Quotes or Orders:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <strong>Primary Vendor<\/strong> field is available as a filter in <strong>Quick Line Entry (QLE)<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Users can filter products based on the assigned Primary Vendor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This enables sales teams to quickly identify products associated with specific vendors directly within the Quote\/Order screen, eliminating the need to switch between systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"864\" height=\"406\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-29838\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1.png 864w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-300x141.png 300w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-768x361.png 768w, https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-1-660x310.png 660w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 864px) 100vw, 864px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>This enhancement delivers several business advantages:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Improved visibility of Item Primary Vendor information within Sage CRM.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Faster product selection during Quote and Order creation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reduced manual lookups between Sage 100 and Sage CRM.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>By integrating the <strong>Item Primary Vendor<\/strong> from Sage 100 into Sage CRM Products using GUMU&#x2122;, we enhanced data transparency and streamlined the sales process.
