However, advanced requirements may require:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Data from multiple Sage 100 tables<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complex joins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculated values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conditional business logic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Custom statuses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data transformation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>SQL provides the flexibility to prepare this information before it is displayed in Sage CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The basic architecture is: <strong>Sage 100 \u2192 SQL Processing \u2192 Dynamic Grid \u2192 Sage CRM<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What Is a Synchronized SQL Table?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A synchronized SQL table is a SQL table used to store data synchronized from Sage 100 so that the data can be queried and displayed by the Dynamic Grid in Sage CRM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sage 100 \u2192 Data Synchronization \u2192 Synchronized SQL Table \u2192 Dynamic Grid<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Simplifies complex grid queries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Allows data from multiple sources to be combined<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Supports calculated and derived fields<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Separates data processing from presentation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can improve grid performance for complex datasets<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Using OPENQUERY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Sage 100 is accessed through a SQL linked server, OPENQUERY can be used to retrieve data from the ERP system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Conceptually: <strong>SQL Server \u2192 Linked Server \u2192 Sage 100<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is useful when information needs to be retrieved from multiple Sage 100 tables and processed before being presented in the CRM. GUMU supports linked-server connectivity for accessing Sage 100 information in real-time grids and charts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Joining Sage 100 Tables<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Business information is often stored across multiple Sage 100 tables. SQL joins allow related information to be combined into a single dataset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example: <strong>Sage 100 Table A + Sage 100 Table B \u2192 Combined Dataset<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This allows the Dynamic Grid to present a complete business view without requiring the user to navigate between different sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SQL + Metadata = Advanced Dynamic Grid<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SQL and Dynamic Grid metadata have different responsibilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SQL handles the data:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Retrieval<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joins<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Calculations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Business logic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transformation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Metadata handles the presentation:<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Field names<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Titles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Templates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Together, they transform raw Sage 100 information into a useful and interactive Sage CRM experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advanced Dynamic Grids go beyond displaying simple database fields.
