{"id":3179,"date":"2012-12-17T04:06:56","date_gmt":"2012-12-17T04:06:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/?p=3179"},"modified":"2012-12-17T04:06:56","modified_gmt":"2012-12-17T04:06:56","slug":"error-while-adding-contact-in-slx-web-client","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/2012\/12\/17\/error-while-adding-contact-in-slx-web-client\/","title":{"rendered":"Error while adding contact in SLX web client"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sage SaleLogix provides an easy way to add the person in accounts and store the related information for the past\/future references as well as track the current status related to various ongoing tasks.<br \/>\nRecently I have upgraded SLX to 7.5.4 and tried to add a contact in one of the account and got the below error message.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Error.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3180\" title=\"Error\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Error.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"94\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nLooking at the error, I thought it is an issue with some fields missing at the Contact entity in SLX VFS which is in use. I had followed below steps to resolve an issue.<br \/>\n1. Log in into the Application Architect.<br \/>\n2. Navigated to Contact entity.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ContactEntity.jpg\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3181\" title=\"ContactEntity\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ContactEntity.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"513\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n3. Right click and select the Update Properties option.<br \/>\n4. Modify entity window will get open.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ModifyEntity1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3183\" title=\"ModifyEntity\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ModifyEntity1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"453\" height=\"401\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n5. Scroll down to select the checkboxes which are empty.<br \/>\n6. Check the checkboxes and click on Finish button to update properties.<br \/>\n7. Now, when you expand the Contact \uf0e0 Properties. All the added fields will be available under the same.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Property.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3184\" title=\"Property\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Property.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"401\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n8. Double click the ActiveFlag property and Click on Text Hyperlink to open the System Data Type editor.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ActiveFlag.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3185\" title=\"ActiveFlag\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/ActiveFlag.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1220\" height=\"550\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n9. Select the True\/False option from the drop down and click on OK button.<br \/>\n10. Repeat step 8 and 9 for the AppID and GlobalSyncID property to set the StandardId and GUID option.<br \/>\n11. Rebuild the Web Platform.<br \/>\n12.
