There are five types of workflow rules as:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Transitional rule.<\/li>\n<li>Global rule.<\/li>\n<li>Conditional rule.<\/li>\n<li>Primary rule.<\/li>\n<li>Escalation rule.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6em;\">We had come across a scenario where we had to progress the workflow based on the some condition. The scenario was like if \u201cStart date\u201d and the system date match then we need to progress the workflow from Approved state to Activate state. To do the same we can follow below mentioned steps:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>First write a stored procedure to get the record based on the condition and then progress the workflow and used the same stored procedure in the escalation rule.<\/li>\n<li>Create an escalation rule using <strong>Administration <\/strong><strong>|<\/strong><strong> Advanced Customization <\/strong><strong>|<\/strong><strong> Escalation<\/strong> and click on \u201c<strong>New\u201d<\/strong> button. You will get the below screen.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EscalationRule.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3517\" title=\"EscalationRule\" src=\"https:\/\/www.greytrix.com\/blogs\/sagecrm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/03\/EscalationRule.bmp\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Select View radio box or table radio box.<\/li>\n<li>Give the rule name as per your requirement like \u2018Active Program\u2019.<\/li>\n<li>Tick the rule enabled checkbox.<\/li>\n<li>Paste the below code in the Trigger SQL Clause. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<strong style=\"font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.6em;\">case_stage=&#8217;Approved&#8217; and case_status=&#8217;InProgress&#8217; and case_startdate=DATEADD(day, DATEDIFF(day, 0, getdate()), 0)<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click on the \u201cSave\u201d button, it will redirect you to the below grid.<\/li>\n<li>Click on the hyperlink available on \u201cActive Program \u201crule.
